After completing her Art degree working in clay, glass and jewellery at Curtin University in Perth, Western Australia, Carolyn began exhibiting her figurative sculptures in local galleries before moving to Melbourne in 2013. There her work has been shown at various galleries including as a finalist several times at Wyndham Art Prize, Art in Public Places and Queen Victoria Women's Centre Gallery. Her female figures appear to shapeshift into to birds, their stories drawn from Carolyn's own life experiences and influenced by music and her collection of myths, fairytales, old wives tales and contemporary women's voices.
